Helpful Event Planning Tips
Do You Have To Be A Member Of The Club To Host An Event?
Cascade Hills is a private club, therefore all events must either be hosted or sponsored by a member of the Club.
What Is A "Sponsored" Event?
Members can arrange events for friends, family, or familiar organizations by acting as the event sponsor. In this role, the member assumes financial and material responsibility for the event, and all charges are billed to their member account. Upon request, the group hosting the event will receive a copy of the billing statement and can pay the Club directly. This is not done automatically. Sponsored wedding receptions require 100% of the estimated costs to be collected 30 days prior to the event. Once an event is sponsored, the sponsored party may work directly with the event planner. The sponsoring member does not need to be involved in the planning process; however, the Club requests that they are present at the event.
Do You Charge A Room Rental Fee?
Room rental fees are applied to all business and sponsored events – not to members’ personal events. The fee is based on the space(s) utilized. The Club’s Events Manager will review these details with you prior to final booking.
Do I Need To Hire An Outside Caterer Or Pastry Chef?
The Club has a full service catering kitchen, and our culinary experts will provide the perfect cuisine to complement the tone and theme of your event. We also staff a full service pastry kitchen; however, you may hire an outside pastry chef, if you desire. Should you choose to hire an outside pastry chef, additional plating fees will be applied.
Does The Club Have A Dress Code For Events?
The Club’s dress code of “business casual” attire is applicable to all areas of the clubhouse, including events. Country Club appropriate denim may be worn on Friday evenings and all day Saturday in our Lower Grille and Lounge. Please view our "Menus & Policies" page for details.
What If My Organization Is Tax-exempt?
We are happy to accommodate tax-exempt organizations. Please be sure to notify our Event Managers of your tax-exempt status when you book your event. We must complete the necessary paperwork prior to your event in order for proper billing to take place.
How Do You Charge Service Fees (Gratuity) And Tax?
A 20% service fee if applied to all food and beverage costs. A sales tax of 6% is then applied to the total bill.
How Many Guests Can The Ballroom Accommodate?
This greatly depends upon the arrangement of the head table and other event details. It comfortably seats 250, but it could accommodate 290 with the use of the York Room and Fireside Room.
